Loved playing on this board. Even getting off to a very poor start you don't feel like you're out of it (or at least you shouldn't). Not sure it would be enjoyable 1-on-1 but can be recommended for multiplayer.
Great fun to play, for long-lasting games you'll need to consider where you're going to place the big armies your next card trade gives you. But before worrying about that you'll need to look out for a quick elimination spree.
Boards with limited/no fortifications and factories on all territories tends to lead to very long games. This one is no exception. Fun idea but hard to make it into interesting games. At least for me. If you like long games give it a try.
Small board that leads to fast games. Limited number of attacks means you have to send troops the right way to overcome the opposition. Enjoyable board, but result can be a bit prone to random events.
Enjoyable board which takes a bit of learning, after 14 games I do not feel I have understood it yet, but should be well worth the effort if you're looking for an interesting 1-on-1 duel.
Fast-paced board. I bit less variation in play than I'd like, otherwise it's a good board for avoiding strategic stalemates. Although they can happen they appear to have low frequency.
Graphics are not the best and the continent structure a bit difficult to grasp. Board is also quite unbalanced towards seat position 1 in a 1vs1, and can lead to long drawn out strategic stalemates in multi-player. Team games with two opposing teams would be my preference if I wanted to play more games on it.
Very fun board to play with what could be a site record for bonus areas (?). Be prepared for someone getting huge bonuses before long, if it's not you you're in trouble.
A board for pure strategy, no dice luck here. Interesting variations of play. Like Chele Nica below I'd like to be more enthusiastic about it but for some reason play is less enjoyable here than on the other strategy boards. I suppose it's because I'm unable to find a whole in the strategy. My shortcomings won't have to be yours so give it a try.
Superb board, great fun to play, no risk whatsoever of a strategic stalemate. Takes a bit of time to get used to where the items are located but well worth the trouble.
This board is great fun! I've tried it with all fog settings and recommend light fog but it will be interesting regardless. Fast paced, no danger of a protracted stalemate, but lots of strategic decisions to take.
